Edging ever close to the release of his new album Two Saviours, Big Theif's Buck Meek has shared a reflective new single in 'Candle'. Co-written with bandmate and equally successful solo artist Adrianne Lenker, 'Candle' is a charming yet somber ode to the disorientating reality of touring life, which is fittingly a distant memory now. Radiating a gentle country twang, whining pedal steel and comparatively cosy rhodes interact peacefully as Meek's distinctive vocals guide the way over pristinely record live drums and unobtrusive bass guitar. Elevated by Lenker's moving harmonies in the chorus, 'Candle' is beautifully cathartic and subdued at the same time. Two Saviours will arrive next Friday (15th of January). -Holly Mullineaux
